Explain de javu?
Answer:
My life experience in with Deja Vu in a time-line is pretty much the same as yours (Used to have them frequently, but not so much anymore). I'm not going to repeat anything that was already posted.
Here is my theory. I believe that when the spirit mind is freed up from the logical mind during meditative states, trances, or during deep sleep, that it transcends the space time continuum. This allows the spirit mind to 'scout' freely, and with Deja Vu, the spirit is in a different place and time in the future, not the past. The purpose for this is to search out probable/possible dangers or probable/possible opportunities.
I have been doing meditation practice for about ten years. I have found that during episodes of Deja Vu, my mind suddenly becomes more alert and I pay attention to the finer details of the situation. I have since cultivated an attitude that during DV episodes, to will myself to 'know' what's next and to try to ride it as far as possible (like surfing). I have also found that in the past couple of years, that my episodes are becoming more common again (and longer).
I believe that DV is an intuitive tool that all people are born with, though some may not experience it at all, while others experience it almost daily.
Like all other intuitive tools that we may possess, I think its important to cultivate our awareness and condition ourselves to utilize all facets of the experience to the highest possible level.
Since I have been studying Tai Chi (almost four years), I find that as I improve my technique, and experience something new in movement, my mind just goes, "Yeah, that's it, that's the real thing." My master never told me about this. Same with Yoga (three years), I find my body going into new poses without any mindful attempt. I know for a fact that I have never seen these poses before.
I could talk about various similar experiences and examples, but I think this basically covers my theory (not to say that others didn't/don't have the same theory). But I never learned this from anyone, that is, that I am aware of. That's another point to make, that our logical mind doesn't always remember what is retained in spirit mind memory, but it comes out automatically when need presents itself (i.e Deja Vu. Hope this helps.
this question sounds familiar to me. haven't i seen it before
well, what i get i sort of like that. from what i understand dejavu is dreaming something before it happens.
what i get is when something happens, i have moments were i remember it, and its like it has already happened, not in a dream, but i remember how the event unfolds, usually lasts only seconds.
Your doing something..but you feel like you have been right there, doing that thing , the same way, before. Like you are doing it again, you feel you are repeating this time and moment.
In the movie, "Matrix" de javu happens when you see something and then see it happen again or experiencing something that you already did. It could also be when you dream of a certain situation and then it actually happened!
I had the exact same experience when i dreamt that me and my classmate fought and the next day we did... weird much?
its an experience that you felt that did not happen.
You will rarely get experience of this or even
once in a lifetime.
An event where you perceive you have been to a location or have done or received some form of action previously at the time you are supposedly living it in the now.
Wikipedia's article on deja vu (and related experiences) is pretty interesting, FWIW.
"Deja vu" translated from French is "already seen". Scientifically explained, we have the left and right side of the brain and for the most part they work together and register things at the same time. However, on the rare ocassion, one side of the brain will not communicate at the same time with the other side of the brain and for a split second you feel that you had already relived that certain moment as it occurs twice - once on each side instead of happening at the same time! :) I hope this answers your question!
The term "déjà vu" (IPA:/deʒa vu/) (French for "already seen", also called paramnesia from the Greek word para (παρα) for parallel and mnimi (μνήμη) for memory) describes the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously. The term was coined by a French psychic researcher, Émile Boirac (1851–1917) in his book L'Avenir des sciences psychiques (The Future of Psychic Sciences), which expanded upon an essay he wrote while an undergraduate French concentrator at the University of Chicago. The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eeriness", "strangeness", or "weirdness". The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience "genuinely happened" in the past. Déjà vu has been described as "remembering the future."
The experience of déjà vu seems to be very common; in formal studies 70% of people report having experienced it at least once. References to the experience of déjà vu are also found in literature of the past, indicating it is not a new phenomenon. It has been extremely difficult to invoke the déjà vu experience in laboratory settings, therefore making it a subject of few empirical studies. Recently, researchers have found ways to recreate this sensation using hypnosis.[1]
I have personally just recently had a Deja vu incident,I had a arguement with my boss about unfair practices however my experience ended in a big fight but in actuality never happened.
