Why do we concentrate on materialistic things?

ally, what you just wrote i got to feel sorry for you,WOW! ---- I will agree on one thing, everybody wants the best they can have or the most of they can get and i think it's about feeling you having the feeling of security. On the other hand, it's about what we have that will impress others and make you feel you are on a different level and gives you a better statas than than other people, which in turn makes you feel better about yourself. I think we all work this way until you figure out just who do you actually what to impress and does it really matter. Just try to be yourself, confidence takes you long way and being proud of what have not what don't. As you get older you will see material things are nothing, but the relationship you have with yourself will account for alot more.
its is the way that humans are... it is natural for every one to want bigger cars, smaller cell phones, louder speakers.. it is the reason we have evoled from monkey!! one monkey disided that one day he wanted to make fire...then another monkey wanted a bigger fire... its is the reason we are an advanced civilazation because we are so materialistic!
