Are you ever afraid that you are to frugal?

Do your ever refrain from purchasing an item and then later think that maybe you are being to tight with your money?

Answer:
Usually I just regret not buying it, and then if I'm able to I go out the next day and get it :)
But everyone thinks I'm tight with my money but I just think I'm being wise and not over spending.
Yeah, sometimes. But I think being frugal is way better than spending recklessly!
Try not to be too tight, your poop will come out flat.
I used to, but now if I spot it, I buy it - within reason mind! lol..
All the time, but I tend to go back and buy whatever it was I was resisting in the first place. I'm a bit of a binge shopper but any big buys I tend to think about and then go and do anyway! And then buy shoes to go with it, whatever it might have been.
I am very tight with my money as i am on a fixed income, but no matter how I scrimp & try to save, something always pops up to take any money i have left.
I think i have just about said,"To hell with trying to be frugal!"
I suffer to save & all I do is suffer!
Between gas bills & light bills, only the very rich will have any money at all anyway!
Yes - and it can be a big problem.
I often walk long distances just to save $1.40 on a bus fare. I usually don't buy any fast food because it's expensive.
I just have to keep in mind that a few dollars every now and then isn't going to send me broke
I am always careful with my money. Don't splurge on wasteful things. But if I need something for the family I don't think twice, its only for myself that I am stingy.
Sometimes, ya. But I have derived a mechanism where I ask myself a couple of questions before buying something. I tend to buy the things that I LOVE, that I would love tomorrow & forever, that I WILL use and most importantly; what I afford and need.
To frugal or not to frugal! that is the question...?

Or do you mean 'too frugal,' as in 'too' much?

There is a meaningful difference between 'want' and 'need.'

What I 'need' enables me to continue in whatever I am doing ~ like breathing, working, eating etc. What I 'want' might help me enjoy doing what I 'need' to do in a better, more interesting or more productive way.

So, sometimes I can be frugal with money and spend only what I 'need' to spend. At other times it works the other way.

As to your use of 'tight with money' Your use of that term 'suggests' something ~ when you could have chosen the words 'cautious' or 'careful' instead.!

Sometimes it's that the money itself is 'tight' and I refuse to be seduced by my 'wants.'

Sash.
I am beyond frugal. I am truly a cheapskate.
