No, it's a commonplace emotion of these times, especially in North America and Western Europe. As a male of the species I keep it pretty much to myself when I am feeling lonely. Because of my work, it is easy as pie to stamp it out. Thanks for asking.

i don't feel embarassed about being alone, that's normal. as a child i always enjoyed being alone or working on my own.
as i get older, i feel embarassed about being lonely, and being a guy i like to hide it more. i would want a girlfriend as i haven't had many but at the same time it's not like it's hindering my school or other aspects of life, which is the dilemma. Then again, i'm 16 and i guess it's normal for teenagers to be insecure.
