What do you do when someone asks you do to something, but you want the control back?

What's your strategy?

Answer:
if it's something you don't mind doing and at your convenience do it other wise tell them your busy don't be their servant when ever they call you. do reasonable favors and big ones if they really need it but make them understand that their wish is NOT your command.
say no.
Like he said, it certainly depends on what they are asking of you. That seems to be extremely pertinent from a strategic point of view. That said, I would say one surefire way to get control back, perhaps in a juvenile sense, but nonetheless, would be to ask a favor in return. This is sort of a tit for tat, but it does indeed switch control from being the ask'er to being the askee. And you can gage your next move based on how their response was recieved.
