Ban Teletubbies! Agree and why?

Teletubbies puts children behind 2-4 years and hurts their ability to learn how to talk. It is degrading and should not be allowed to force transvestite behavior on TV in front of children. The show is so stupid it can only entertain little tykes and only has negative influence. It does not teach love and kindness like Mr. Rodgers and Barney unless it deceives you that it is only to degrade and corrupt. I learned a ton from Sesame Street as a child. Now this crap! Nothing good to say about it! Mostly after witnessing that it does have negative effects on children.

OK, I do agree that Teletubbies doesn't teach kids anything. I think they made it for babies so they could have something to watch, but they can still watch other shows. Apart from being useless, Teletubbies is also slightly frightening. (They could make a bad horror movie out of it.) Also, the part where they play that video twice is annoying...
I agree with everything except the thing about transvestites. While I find transvestites to be particularly annoying, banning them smacks of homophobia. But the cutesy talk is not for the little one's benefit, I agree.
i agree because one of the characters in this show is homosexual... and i don't understand their language, its not educational!!!!

I haven't really watched teletubbies much to know what exactly their shows are like but I can say this for sure... tv programs or cartoons for kids I believe should be entertaining. An outlet from learning. And I think it is the parents who should be spending the time teaching their children the basics not a television! Because later in life all of a sudden all the parents are going to blame tv and video games for violence. The real way past that is to just sit down with your damn kid and teach them yourselves! Don't let the tv be the babysitter.
