Most of my classmates seemed to agree (about 23 outta 30 of us thru a show of hands by her statement)

In america, whites are the majority, in many field. There is less racial profileing, there is less discrimination in the work place(as most managment posisitions are held by whites). You have the ability to blend in with the majority. No one singles your race out as a character flaw.
You never have to let your employer know you can "speak right" You don't have to worry about talking with an accent, you don't have to worry about if you can understand your doctor cause he doesn't know how to speak your native touge
Addition: According to a scientific study, when faced with overt racism(like "we hate your kind"), asians will reason this racism away like "he had a bad day or something" Blacks respond the same but only to sutble racism.Don't say that all minority are using discrimination as a crutch. Cause it isn't always the case.
More over, just because there is affirmitative action(doesn't apply to all jobs) doesn't mean there is still discrimination agianst a minority going on. Just because you hired are person doesn't mean you have to promote them, thats how alot of subtle racism is commited. hence a glass ceiling effect for many minority.
No its completely untrue, when it comes to jobs the businesses get sued for not hirering the miniority, Whites have the same amount of advantage in the dating and relationships it's just that many miniorities live in the city and live by the rap culture, people who act like rappers generally don't have long real relationships. From what I have seen many minorities just blame their failures on the white people, and are generally more racists than all the whites that "are all racists". I think your professor is trapped in the 60's or trying to avoid getting into trouble for being "racist"
Of course it's true! That's just where we are in our evolution right now. The prime thing to be is a young white male in america. Think of how bad things were before no rights for blacks, women, children, mentally ill. We have come a long way but the battle still rages.
