I think you mean "eloquence", but couldn't find any courses.
worth every pound dear friend. you seem to know exactly what it is. you know that will improve you mastery of speaking proper english. will help your career and how many people treat you. smart idea. also, since we tend to be a little like parrots, associate with those who are well-spoken and avoid hearing the others. same with watching tv and movies. read the classics not the tabloids. love it!

Elocution (Ell Oh Kew Shun) lessons are a brilliant idea. Whilst regional accents are also lovely, the ability to enunciate clearly, pronounce words correctly is very important. It will help you in any line of work, it is very important to be understood in all walks of life. However, try to link it in with developing a good vocabulary.

I had elocution as a child and I learnt very quickly.
You mean elocution lessons. It really isn't necessary to have elocution lessons any more, but you could get vocal training and grammar lessons instead. Inquire at your local library.
Elocution is the word to which you are referring. It is the art of speaking correctly, not exaggeratedly, and pronouncing your words properly.
I was taught it at school, but that was a very long time ago at a private school. I doubt very much if it taught at today's schools, comprehensives or private, which is a shame really as the spoken English I hear on TV and in the street, bears little resemblence to that which I learned and I have trouble, sometimes, actually understanding what is said by TV presenters etc.
