·How do you interpret a dream? Do you use your intuition/imagination to understand it?

Answer:
this is awful i never really interpret them i just think about how weird they are, i have the strangest most vivid dreams, but now i think im going to think more about them and definately use that bible thing,
i use all of it. It comes naturally. I just substitute an event, a place or a person for something that it may be symbolizing. And think about the WHY the person may be having the dream from the details of it.
my grandmother used to use the bible and it always works. in proverbs use the date you had the dream as the verse number and the month you had it as the chapter. always works for me. good luck
I use my intuition and my grandmother advises.
A lot of times for me, it's self-explanatory. But if you want to interpret, there are plenty of websites that can give you that info.
I use symbolism. For eg,Red Rose stands for love, sword for strength, etc. A very good question.
I dream about it,,
I start off by trying to remember every single detail that I can. I sit in a quiet place, breathing deeply, with my eyes either closed or open, depending on how I feel or what distractions are around me. Usually my dreams are very vivid and realistic so it's easy to remember them. Once I've gone over everything I can think of I start to free associate. I pick one detail and think of everything it reminds me of. That usually leads to another part of the dream and so on. Sometimes it's a place or person, but it can just as easily be a color or even a scent that I think I smelled in the dream. Gradually pieces start to fall in place and I realize it usually had something to do with what's going on in my life. Maybe it didn't happen that day, but it made enough of an impression that it weighed on my subconscious or unconscious mind or whatever. Sometimes after having a few similar dreams I realize there is a theme which helps me to confront an issue--which can even turn out to be a positive experience.

I've tried looking up the meaning of my dreams in some of those books you can buy, but I've never found one that has particular relevance. They're way too general. It's like saying your dream is a Tarot Card reading.
