Why do people fight over who is right and wrong?
Answer:
they are sometimes jealous of the others number of mates or material resources.
But, human beings live in a society where ones actions sometimes affect the other aka war debates, debate on general morality, religious differences, educational differences.
sometimes people feel the others are bringing em down and this conditon is aggravated in bad situations where there is a lot of despair. example germany in the early 20th century where the country was going through a seriouseconomiccrisis, debate between religious and non-religious people, debate by people on the left and people on the right of the american political spectrum. that's why different groups protest in each others face, ethnic and religious cleansing all over the world throughout history, conflict between husband and wife, parent and siblings due to clash of thoughts.

Because people have different opinions about everything. You're only wrong if others think they're right.
1.Due to ego. Ego is a pshychological protection cover which protects a human against psychological attack by others. If your ego is weak ,then you have to go along the views of other resulting in to loosing of own individuality.
