What do you do when you are overwhelmed by non stop projects/respondabilities...
Do you freeze like in the way of procrastinating?
Do you enjoy the process?
Are you afraid and digress, going on circles before facing the project in front of you? (Other way of procrastination)?
Other?
Answer:
I admit to a certain degree I freeze! A lot of it is because some parts are always dependant on others (or things you can't control) so that when you go to do something in a hurry you constantly check yourself wondering how to gauge your time by guessing to a certain extent and I hate that.
I think the main thing is to be organized and like many people, I feel I'm never organized enough. In fact I'm working on some small homemade computer programs right now to help me organize different sets of my information which are pretty specific.
In terms of just plain old "to do" lists, I feel for many people various computer programs can help to organize their projects better. An Australian program I've looked at called Thinking Rock isn't too bad. It's very user friendly besides being (currently) free. It's ideal for people who have a lot of little things to remember and often need to constantly keep tabs on them.
Overall the best guidelines are just good organization and communication and beyond that you do the best you can.
I first make a list of each item that needs to be done.
Then, I start one by one, researching what needs to go into that particular item, before moving on to the next.
Before I know it, I'm at the end of my brainstorming and ready to start working.
I love to see a full plan right in front of me, it helps me feel like i have a better grasp of things. And that the projects aren't so big, after all.
Good Luck!
