Imaginary friends...pyschological or supernatural?

Have you ever had an imaginary friend? Tell me about it. Do you think it was psychological or could it have been supernatural? What is your opinion even if you haven't had one?

Answer:
I had one as a child but I do not remember much about it .. Now i have 3 children and 2 of the 3 have had one and they told me what their friend was wearing and everything. They could sit and talk to them for hours plus I have been told over and over that children and animals could see what adults couldn't so I think it maybe the supernatural communicating with them . there are some websites you can do research on not sure what they are right now though.

It can be either. It helps a person to not feel isolated and alone.
My brother was born to a family of 5 girls and no males. His developing his developing a male "friend" helped him not be the only boy.

there is no "Supernatural"

I have had a religious experience and my imaginary friends was God, Jesus, angels etc. I think it has something to do with my loneliness, dysfunctional family and desire for love and understanding. But it is also supernatural, because I had an obvious evidences. I guess it happens to a highly sensitive people. But still I do not have a satisfying explanation about that.So it is both - psychological and supernatural.
