The popular media is to blame for much of the misinformation about gender roles.
So, I would stick to scientific and psychological journals which broach this subject. These articles should be much less biased either way.
Another thing you could do is find a popular media article which contrasts with a scientific journal.
You could find these articles by googling something like "female roles in society" and then select an article from a scientific perspective and one from a popular perspective to show the differences between the two.
