Should I be ashamed about this sexual assualt issue?
I was date raped... and it took me over a week to come forward to report this... should I feel ashamed to wait that long? can they still get him for what he has done wrong, even thou the physical evidence isn't there?
Answer:
At least you came forward, but would have been nice to get physical evidence against the person. You are not alone in this world of this kind of problem, there are many just like you. It is going to take time to heal, and many other things. Don't be ashamed, and it is not your fault, you were not ready to open up to someone yet, which is a good idea to open up right away, but you did it instead of hiding it before someone else gets hurt.
no you should not feel ashamed at all this happens to alot of girls and guys also that just never report it at all you made a big step reporting it and did the right thing as for the psychical evidence there could still be plenty if a drug was used in the process. and even it there is not enough proof it will get the person name in the list as a potiental offender in case it happens to someone else.
No, you should not be ashamed. You did nothing wrong. I hope they can still get him but the evidence is gone.
No, you should never feel ashamed. Honey, I've been there, just a different scenario. With taking the time, they may not be able to prosecute. Check with the police on that one. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Don't let it make you bitter. Let it make you stronger. Check with your local recreation center on some sort of self defense so you are never a victim again.
You should not be ashamed. I am just afraid now that with no evidence you won't have much of a case. The Judaical system want evidence this day and time. I sure wish you lots of luck...
Absolutely not! Feeling ashamed is what gives the rapist their power. You did nothing wrong!!
Good luck and Stand Strong!
