It's a lot different than high school or community college... I just floated through high school and running start with all a's and no studying... I got to UW and was in for a real shocker... Part of the problem is that they don't take attendance at universities and many of them post notes online which makes it very easy to not go... as long as you either keep up with the readings or go to lecture every day you should be fine... and you'll learn quickly what you need to do to be successful in each class.

University life can be challenging, not only because of the work load, but because you are out on your own, away from your parents, away from people that will look out for you.
When you are in a university, you are responsible for getting to class on time, and getting good grades, but you are also responsible for basic tasks like your own laundry, and feeding yourself.
