Answer:
do you get vacation time? if so take it...and leave...what i do is...don't laugh...i go to another country where my cell phone doesn't work...because if i stayed here...i would still answer the calls...and they will come...vacation or no vacation...you have to realize...and this is really hard to accept...that the place you work for was going prior to you working there and when you are gone they will move on...and replace you...so taking a vacation is not going to break them...it will just break you if you don't...good luck

You didn't say if you had a wife and/or kids at home. If so then you must decide that they are more important than whatever you are earning where you are working. This is vital for your family.
If no family, then dump the job anyway and go out and find another. Software engineers are always in high demand. Take the weekends off. Get a boat and find a lake. Check out some parks or preserved areas near you. Get outside, dude!
Do contract programming for smaller companies that cannot afford to hire full-time software engineers or just need one for some new application and such. Corporate America sucks! I know, I've worked for several of the biggest!
Consider your job as a means to enhance your life and not as an end-all for you're time and energy! Not even the Japanese do that anymore...
Maybe you can start by taking one thing at a time. Take step 1 and don't think about step 2 before you're done with 1. That will help you concentrate on the moment instead of the whole task. It will also make you feel like you're making many small things instead of one big thing.
Try to give a break between each "small thing". Take a walk, drink something, or just look out of the window for a while.
We are more productive in the mornings. If you can, try to work in the mornings instead of late hours.
Doing exercises will raise your serotonin hormone level. Thus you will feel happier. Maybe you think that you don't have time for any sports, but you can simply take a walk or run for 30 minutes before breakfast. Having exercised in the morning will make you get more concentrated on your work during the day and soon you'll realize in fact you're saving time.
Create yourself a reason for being happy to be away from home. To be away means you're in a different environment than your family is. Try to take photos of the area, explore the city and send these interesting things to your family. The more excited your family gets about them, the more willing you'll be to discover your new surrounding. This will also create more frequent and quality contact with your family and you won't feel so lonely.
Finally, feel previlidged to be given this task. Somebody believed that you could handle it, so they gave it to you. Believe in yourself as much as others believe in you. Good luck!
Practice meditation and Yoga.
