Are we keeping ourselves alive just so other people won't be sad about our death?

I'm looking at life rationally and I see no real reason to continue existing. I have come to the following conclusion:

The world, especially past and current human existence, is without objective meaning, purpose, comprehensible truth, or essential value. There is no reasonable proof of the existence of a higher ruler or creator, a "true morality" does not exist, and secular ethics are impossible; therefore, life has no truth and there is no rational reason to remain alive.

What are your thoughts on this? Thanks!

Answer:
Living or life does require some effort.if you don't want to put in this effort then don't.the choice is yours.
Man, this made my day. I thought I was the only person who thought this way.

I have heard it said too many times that those who kill themselves are selfish. I find it selfish to expect someone to live against his or her wish simply because you want that person around.
I personally think that existential stuff is crap. There is great meaning, value & truth to life. There is a "true morality" to those who choose to live that way and I see great proof of a higher power or creator. I see milllions of reasons to exist. If, in my lifetime, I have helped one child, or made a great difference in someone's life, it will have been worth living.
I agree with you on the higher power idea. I have never bought that.

However, I love my life! I love my job, my partner, my hobbies, etc. I exist to enjoy my life and get as much from it as I can.

Maybe you need to examine your immediate existence and change things around so that you can enjoy it more while it lasts.
The way your mind works is quite deplorable. Something very bad will happen to you very soon I think.
My thought is that you can rule out "motivational speaking" as a potential career path.
I think you are a sad person. But that is just my opinion. Best wishes!
I think you are over anlyzing things and it sounds kind of depressing.. Maybe you need to get involved in clubs or sports to occupy your time.
I'm an atheist rationalist that believes all human values stem from evolutionary processes. However, life is still freakin' amazing! Think about it. You are one of an extremely rare form of matter that has the ability to be aware of the universe it is a part of. You are conscious. The enormity and significance of this fact blows my mind and should blow yours too. Keep living for your own sake - you only get one chance at it, and don't let any of those religious types convince you that you need some kind of God for your life to have meaning. As for secular ethics, look up Immanuel Kant's categorical imperative, as it provides a moral rule that it would be irrational rather than sinful to disobey.
I agree to an extent. I would never hurt the people that truly care for me. But for me there is a God, there is morality & ethics. There's the good & the bad. There's virtue & there's sin.

Suicide is sin. [according to my belief]
