Why does your chest hurt when you feel really sad (bilogically/physically not emotinally)?

i was wondering

Answer:
it is your heart literally aching
not when i feel really sad but when im nervous. my throat and chest feel heavy and dry. and i feel their sinking. sometimes my joints hurt when i feel sad.
That's abnormal. Maybe you're heart is about to explode?
No, never.
That means you heart aches
... thats really odd. you need to see a doctor about that.
You know what hes talking about, like a nervous kind of thing.

Your Uncle just died, and I would HOPE that your heart sank.
Wow, that's happened to you before? I've felt my chest hurting (I absolutely refuse to use the word "heart broken") during times when I've been really sad; I always thought that I was just crazy and that such things couldn't happen. I guess I'm not alone, then.
I also felt heartache when I feel really sad... I don't know why too, it's like something squeezing your heart..
Anyone can have tightness in their chest but if ur over, say 35 and overweight a lil', u should get chk'd out by a Dr. But sometimes
it could be anxiety/anxiety attack or even
heartburn. When we get upset, our bodies don't like it and lets us know, ya know?
