Question for those who don’t believe to GOD.?
Just imagine that you are in ship and very far from land and suddenly a very horrible storm you face you are trying to save your self say that will you not think or feel for any such power who can save you or will you pray this time what will the thoughts at that time sincere and serious answer plz
Answer:
Let's see. Well, I do believe in God, even though I am a Buddhist. I would pray for Buddha, because he can save me too. Sometimes people have their own beliefs, so they can trust it in any situation.
Perhaps when I am in a desperate situation I would call out to a higher power because it could give me hope. However, later on I would consider that to be a response to an extreme situation, and a way for me to cope, rather than any proof that God exists.
I don't really believe in God per se, however I would like to believe in a higher power. I remain skeptical that such a power would take time to help me or anyone else in such a situation, not because I am cynical, but because I believe more strongly in myself. I know that I would feel desperation in such a situation or anything of such circumstance, however I believe my thoughts would be more self-directed, contemplating on how I won't see certain people again, about the last things I said to those people. I would hope to have been happy up to that time, which is how I try to live my life. I wouldn't say I'd be at peace with the world if my life were to end, however I wouldn't feel it unjust and that someone (a god) should save me. I just find it difficult to believe in such a being. I don't even consider myself agnostic because I don't believe even that much in such a being. As I previously stated, I believe in myself and in what science has and will continue to prove.
Are you even aware of all of the suffering and death of the innocent. There is no loving god. I know of a little girl who was kidnapped, raped, molested in other ways unmentionable and after all of this was done to her she said to the "man" that did this to her "God loves you" Then he stabbed her and killed her. He told this story in his trial. If iever a situation called for an intervention of any kind this would have been it.
Clinging to god for anything is like clinging to broom straws in a flood
i will wonder if im really going to die and if i do where will i go if anywhere. i wont pray i think. i will think of my loved ones and hope they get over it. then i will hope not to die too painfully but consiuse so i know im dying.
I think in that situation I would probably have some hope that someone or something could save me, so that could be described as praying to a higher power I suppose. Even if I do though, that doesn't mean I believe in said higher power, nor does it prove the existance of a higher power.
I think it would be pretty stupid not to at least attempt to call on some power, because what do you have to loose. Maybe I'm more agnostic than atheist, because I'm very open to the idea I am wrong in not believing in a higher power (I'm choosing to say this over God, because I wouldn't differentiate in this situation) so in that situation, why not try on the off chance I'm wrong? But I wouldn't actually be holding out much hope that I would be saved.
My reasons for not believing in God are probably not similar to many others. I'm very open to the idea there is one, but If there is, in my opinion, he's not doing his job very well. There's to much bad in this world, to many bad unfair things happening to people that don't deserve it, for me to think that if there is a God, he is actually good and taking care of us. I personally would rather believe in no God, than a God that lets such awful things happen, makes such awful things happen. Well that, amoung other things.
I think that in a situation like this...I might not even think of anything exept trying to pass that storm alive...and if I do..then later...I'll tell everyone how brave I was.
PS:I do belive in GOD
