Have you had an abortion? If so, what is your emotional feeling now?
I am asking people who have had abortions how they came to that decision, how they feel now, and if they would change it if they could. I am not asking for opinions regarding whether you think abortion is right or wrong, so please refrain from answering if you don't have personal experience. Dont mean to sound rude, but I know lots of people tend to impose their opinions when they're not wanted. Thanks to everyone who responds with personal experience :)

my mom had one 16 years ago and she still has nightmares about it and she wishes she never did it because it hurts her all the time .
I have had two abortions. I can try to rationalize in my mind why I did it to make it seem more acceptable, but in the end it was due to selfishness and fear. I do regret the decisions, but don't beat myself up for them. I do think it has had a long-term effect on my current sexual desire. I am at the point that I won't have another abortion, but I still don't want children. So, I am celibate.
Yes I have had one abortion. About a year in a half ago. I am still with the guy who got me pregneant. We live together. It was the easiest thing I have ever done. Sorry I sound insensitive but I knew it was the only choice for me at the time. Reasons: I was on certain medication that causes mutation in unborn fetuses. I also knew from past expierence how hard it is to be responsible for another human being. Most girls have no idea what it is like to be a mother. Now, a year later.I still want to have a baby some day, but when I am good and ready. I do not look back on what I did and regret it at all. I stand firm on the decision I made. That was what I had to do then. If I were to get preganant tomorrow or next month, then I would definetly keep it.
