Hi,
We seem to perceive time so differently depending on age, mood and circumstances. Think back to your concept of ‘time’ as a child and everything seems to slow down in your mind! We were learning about the world, people, where we fit in and there seemed so much time to assimilate it all. I remember waiting to go to the seaside with my mum. The bus would come in five minutes and she showed me how I could tell when five minutes was over on the clock. I watched and waited and five minutes seemed like forever; this is a memory that always sticks vividly in my mind. The older you get, the faster time seems to go. And yet we can fit so much into our days if we want to. For instance we had eight days in Canada with some friends last year and it was amazing what we managed to fit in, in that week. We came back and it seemed as if we had been away for a lot longer. So perhaps too, the more that you do, the more you seem able to stretch time in your mind! And yet, put it all together and it’s going far far too fast. For instance it seems like since the start of the year up to now, someone has just pushed the ‘fast forward’ button! Maybe it’s going so fast because the older we get, the more aware we are that the time we are spending in this life-as-we-know-it is running out! Maybe it goes fast when we’re having fun and slow when there is nothing to do or when people complain they’re bored. It might seem to go slow when you’re younger when you’re waiting for something to happen. Now I don’t feel that way so much. I can eagerly anticipate a future event knowing that it is likely to happen and before we know it, we will be looking back on it. So enjoy the anticipation as much as the event!

cause you were having fun...
because you had so much fun notice how the day drags when your bored?
Time is only perception and time never changes. Only our perception of it does.
Ya got me. Some days go by fast, whereas other days they drag on & on & on! Just one of those things that are unfounded!
Time is relative to perception. When you are bored you typically pay a lot of attention to the time, because you want to know when it will end. When you are having fun you don't pay attention to time and so it creeps up on you. However "time flies when you are having fun" is not always the case. I have worked in some high paced jobs where stopping to ponder the time that has passed is not a liberty that I possessed. Although I was not having fun (quite the opposite) I was too busy to pay attention to the time and therefore it crept up on me and the day was over before you knew it!
time goes by for busy people, while time is endless for people who waits for it to end. time's up!:)
