Serious Answers Please: Why is it that my going barefoot in public gives me such a rush/sexual turn-on?
My friends and I jokingly refer to this phenomenon as "footsibitionism." :-)

Going barefoot can be very sensual, as there are very many nerve endings on the bottoms of our feet. There is the added kick, as some of the above posters have noted, that public barefooting is considered "taboo" by many. I totally identify with you, as I go barefoot a lot, especially in the summer, and sometimes get a "naughty," tingling feeling. ;-)
It's great, and I have noticed guys looking at my bare feet when I go out to stores and such - they seem to be fascinated, and that makes me feel sexy! :-)

The way you describe being barefoot seems like some sort of "danger" or risk that you are taking... Maybe you connect sex with danger...
Maybe because it is out of the ordinary and "daring" which gives people a sexual rush.
You enjoy the tactile stimulation. You associate this with sex and the association is probably intensified by doing what you think is taboo (ie) bare feet in formal public places. Your habit is harmless. Please wash your feet before you go to bed!
one would think that as the soles of ones feet are very sensitive this is why they do "it" for you
