How will critical thinking influence the way u read in the future?

Answer:
What literary theory aims to do is to understand how writers do what they do, or even what it is they do, how they create the effects they do and so on.

Most of the fundamental questions in literary theory are in some way associated with understanding what literature’s aims are or should be. Most people agree in a roundabout way that its aims are something close to the ideas of the Russian Formalists (see http://www.shakespearehomework.com/criti... for further explanation.).

As to how critical thinking might influence our reading in the future, it may mean that we are able to read better books. These books may very well be written by authors who have learnt from literary theory and developed literature that goes further and breaks new boundaries.

Conversely it may mean that we are more able to enjoy the books that we do have. As more and more examinations of the older literary classics become available (e.g. Shakespeare) old texts are constantly reinterpreted in order that we can continue to relate the modern world to them and continue to have them enrich our lives.
It will influence what you read.

Additionally, you will tend to analyze what you read to a greater level of detail. You will be more tuned to understanding the written word to a greater depth, rather than focusing on surface knowledge, which does not beget wisdom.
