What is your Reflection about Jail visiting?
Answer:
It allows me to keep a real image of the person I care about in my head, cheers the recipient up (unless you dump a load of guilt on them while you are there) and incidentally, can mean that the facility will take slightly better care of the prisoner because they know somebody:
1. Cares
2. Is checking up
3. Would say something to the media if the prisoner was being abused.
It is generally a little sad, and usually more than a little bit inconvenient. (although I have had some genuinely positive experiences as well) In the long run however, it has always been worth my time, and hopefully worth the time of the person I visited.
There are many aspects of jail visiting. Who are you visiting? Male, female, friend, family? What is the crime? Make the question more specific.

I had to visit a prison in my area once to complete my probation. It was an interesting experience. People had to live in a tiny cell with tripple bunk beds. I couldn't imagine living the rest of my life in a place like that. At first I had this attitude that these people are bad and deserve all this but after hearing some of their stories I realized some of those guys are normal people like you and me that just made a bad decision. But then again 90% of them are just bad people with no respect for themselves or society.
