Is not taking action usually a sign of confidence, cowardice, or confusion?

the step not taken.
the plan not hatched.
the voice not raised.

do these things happen because of confidence: we are so confident we are doing the right thing right now that there's no sense changing the course?

is inaction due to cowardice: we are afraid that we may make the wrong choice, so it is better do do nothing and stay the present course?

or is failure to act usually due to confusion: we would like to make a change, but we are not sure how to implement or evaluate it?

why not act?
why not now?
what's the worst that could happen?

That was a very good video. He really broke it down very simply. And really, what are alot of people concerned about? Are they concerned with what could actually happen if it turned out to be true? Or are they more concerned with whether it is true or not? He gave a very good argument as far as where the more devastating consequences would lie. Column A, if it turned out to be false yet we took action, the economy would suffer. Yet, in column B, if it turned out to be true, yet we did NOT take action, not only the economy would suffer, but everything else as well. We have no control over whether or not it is true, so why not be concerned with what we DO have control over, whether or not we take action. And he is right, the answer is simple. If you cannot do anything else, just spread the word. I beleive that any one of those reasons could be true as far as why people do not take action. What I see the majority of the time, is just ignorance. If they pay no attention to it, it will come and go and fade away as just another topic of the past. Kind of like an ostrich sticking his head in a hole in the ground, thinking that makes him invisible to it's predators. But ignorance is not bliss forever. Either that, or just procrastinating about it. I know alot of people who are aware that these things could take place in the future, but the evidance is not hitting home enough for them, so they are not concerned about it. They do not want to waste energy on it, because they do not know if it will happen or not, and it is not affecting them right now, so why worry. When they start seeing evidance that is affecting THEM, then they will begin to be concerned. What's the worst that could happen? The worst is if we did nothing at all. But that was a good video. Thank you for that. And I will certainly pass it on.
It's more than likely a sign of indecisiveness. Perhaps you have not yet completely made up your mind about the way you want things to go, a choice you must make, or the path you want your life to lead to.
People like the status quo. (Well I like their music at least).

It is a fear of being different. A fear of standing out from the crowd. Lead by example, and they will follow. The youtube clip is clever, but I don't think it is going to convert that stubborn old fool who stays in its house when the bushfire approaches. A few wombats always die in a bush fire.

Hey, why do they call him a wombat? He eats, roots and leaves... lol. (I bet he had no intention of leaving the planet though, rooting it up is obviously a plan set to be accomplished).

Anyhow. I guess it is up to the rest of us to show those wombats how to get out of their burrows and find a nice river to keep them really kewl until the bushfire passes overhead. I'm in for it. Are you?
Not taking action is a sign of fear ....not believing that you are worthy to stand your ground when another has abused or taken advantage of you say for example on the work front where your at a job for many years to pay the bills and people use you until you stand up and fight for that raise or whatever is not working right in the situation :))
