Do you believe "common sense" is not so common these days?

I've seen some people do things that just didn't make much sense. How about you? What's the craziest thing you've seen somebody do (or perhaps you've seen lots of people do) that just doesn't seem to conincide with concepts of common sense.

Answer:
--Text messaging while driving
--Having a full blown, loud conversation on the cell phone, in a public place, where no one gives a hoot, if that person got their promotion, just bought a Beemer etc.
--Throwing lit cigs out of the car window, in a dry area
--Trying to reason with a screaming, crying child at a grocery store
--Being honked at, while stopped on the corner to turn right, waiting for an elderly person, in a wheel chair crossing the street.
--Going 80 on the freeway and being flipped off and cutoff by a nutzy driver, who wants to go 100mph.
--People washing their cars the day before a storm
There are so many things that could be named.
YUP!
mainly when it comes to relationships.
people dont know how to talk to eachother.. how to fix things...
or how to deal with anything really.
i dont even know why they try.
they are just setting themselves and everyone they touch up for a fall.
Yeah, I agree with ya!
And unfortunately, there are too many incidents to mention.
People are idiots.
If you walk down the street and punch 100 people in the face at random, you can safely bet that 99 of them were idiots.
I've seen someone shove a sex toy into the male urethra. And I thought I was crazy. . . .
By "common sense" most people mean "good sense". Good sense is not common to everyone. No example, too many to choose just one.
when people just randomly break really hard for no reason while you're driving
open a clear freezer door at the grocery store and than look, like they can't see through it!
Yes definetly that what my boyfriend said all the time, people go to college to get a degree but they never teach them common sense at all, cause thay end up doing all kind of stupid things. Sad but true.
im in the military so i see a lot of people do things that i would say if they had common sense they wouldnt do... it happens a lot.. i guess you dont need common sense to join the military . lol
i totally agree. i think only a few of us have it left, unfortunantly.
It's just that they don't teach 'thinking things through' these days. As for the craziest thing, being nasty to anyone has got to be the one as life has a habit of rebounding on you.
i think people have it but i think that they just dont use it. i was talking to my sister in law the other day and she said that no one is going to smoke in her house when her baby is born but she smokes while its inside of her! i think thats not using very much since. well Good Luck! ~love love love~
That’s true people don’t have common sense. My biggest problem with people is that the people who do have common sense don’t tell the people who don’t have common sense about there self. That’s the craziest thing I’ve seen. Like if with friends and I see you don’t something wrong I’m going to tell you I hate the he’s a grown *** man approach.
I asked the same question, and have decided that there really is no such thing as common sense because its based on your own perception.
For some reason I think garage sales bring out the stupidity in people. Everytime we have a garage sale, there are always those few that leave their common sense in the car. We've had people ask to use our bathrooms, try to steal things right in front of our face, let their kids roam wild and get into everything, they'll bring stuff back the next day and expect a refund, try to pay with foreign currency, and the usual...you have something marked at $50, they want it for like $30, then pull out a HUGE wad of cash right in front of you.
If common sense is common. It sure is hard to find.
Yes, It is a relative thing... I would remark that common sense never has been so common. This is why all mankind is in such holly mess at present.
What more do you need to explain this phenomenon... We have war, terror, hunger and poverty everywhere along with political saints celeberating and meeting again and again to find a solution to all these problems, without using their common sense.
My sister in law got accepted to UCLA, and in the first few months there she managed to take up smoking, party all night and get hooked on drugs. She met up with some loser guys she barely knew while intoxicated or high or whatever and got sexually assaulted. While I am a firm believer that sexual assault and rape are never the victim's fault, I can't help but wonder, "WHERE'S HER BRAIN? WHAT WAS SHE THINKING??" Smart enough to get into UCLA, but totally dumb in every other aspect of her life!
We went to our Hall of Records for a copy of the title to our home. The office was empty except for one girl standing behind the counter. We told her what we wanted and she directed us to a window at the far end of the room. We walked over there. So did she. She took our information and disappeared behind some bookcases. She then stood behind the orginal part of the room and didnt say a word. We walked over to her and she handed us our title. Talk about beuracratic nonsense.
