Can watching too much Big Brother and other tv programmes influence your behaviour?
I also verbally lashed out on a work colleague this afternoon, which I feel really bad about.
Answer:
YES! Big Brother and other time wasting programmes (like soaps aswell) influence you and the way you live. People are not aware of it but it's true. Don't watch too much t.v, hun - you will be much better for it.x
I think it's pretty dumb, if this Stupid program did actually have that effect on you!
its likely to
have you got pmt.
no but i dont think so cos i was like this before i started watching big brother you get me so you better shut it yeah cos im fired up to the maxage yeah you know that
I'd rather have my teeth pulled without the benefit of Novocaine than watch that cr*p. It does sound as if it's affecting you, though. Reach for the OFF button.
do not think so, you must already have serious problems if you watch these programmes in the first place
Yeah im sure it does! :-)
Absolutely. I watched Tom and Jerry the other day and then I went out and blew up next door neighbours cat with some dynamite.
I'm a charity collecter for the RSCPA in my spare time.
Thats TV for you..
YES you could get suicidal watching bb
I have a friend who listened to one radio talk show host day in and day out for over a year and the next thing you know, he picked up on the talk show host's phrases and mannerisms.
I was 18 when I went into the Army, All my life I had lived in the upper midwest... Then I went through boot camp in SC, got my job training in GA, then was stationed in NC. It didn't take a yr before I started saying "Y'all" and other southern phrases, not to mention picking up on the accent.
They say, "imitation is the best form of flattery." I think that phrase is directed towards someone intentionally changing, to mimmick someone, for the better. What your talking about is UN-intentional change and even though I gave you only 2 examples of UN-intentional change in my life, I could give you thousands of examples proving that exposing yourself too much to anything, can and will change you.
It was recognized decades ago that whoever controls the media controls the population. They can, and do, tell us what to do, what to think, what to believe, how to behave and how to live. And if that isn't enough, there's also something called ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) waves, which they use to control how we feel. You really would be better off if you stopped watching that human zoo rubbish.
Going at a tangent to get back to your question...
Does advertising work? Yes it does. How do we know? Because the money oriented companies keep doing it. Thy know about business, and if it didn't work then they wouldn't do it.
Now, in what way is advertising different, fundamentally, from other TV? IT ISN"T. So, the dross you watch on telly will have the same effect as advertising - it will change your behaviour. Why would it not?
I'm not sure but I'm as addicted to Big Brother as an addict is to Heroin. I'm in America so Big Brother 8 started Wednesday. I wish they would play reruns of the British version of Big Brother, I'd be in HEAVEN!!
I don't think that your behavior is related to television at all. First apologize to everyone you've lashed out and figure out what really IS wrong. A lot of the time these little bits of AHGH!! that we feel is really not the problem but a symptom of a bigger problem. Search yourself and heart and figure out what's really bothering you.
