ADHD is attention deffiecit hyperactive disorder. People with this disorder not only have a hard time staying focused on one thing, but they also tend to be "hyperactive" which is, basically, exactly what it sounds like
Attention-Deficit-Hyperactivit... inattention & hyperactivity, forgetfulness, poor impulse control or impulsivity, and distractibility.
If a student has ADHD, usually a referral is made to the school psychologist or primary doctor and testing is done, and sometimes teachers even have input in the diagnosis based on behavior and class performance. I personally think ADHD is over-diagnosed and drugs aren't the answer for most kids, as I've seen parents begging the school to put their kids on drugs like Concerta or Ritalin to boost their kids' grades!!
Hyperactivity, restlessness, inability to focus on work, inability to concentrate or finish a task, mood swings, sometimes even difficulty relating with peers socially because of these. I think behavioral therapy and personal situations need to be evaluated before drug intervention is used.
some signs are acting crazy not normal
and being really hipper all the time even when you don't give that person any sweets.

My husband has ADHD. It mean attention deficit Hyperactivity disorder. I have been with him for 8 years and the most noticable things are not being able to stay on one subject when talking,he has a hard time finishing a project even if its housework he starts by doing dishes not finishing them and moving onto something else,he cannot sit still, when he has to sit still for a period of time he figits(playing with his hands, shaking his feet anything to keep his body moving). He has taken several different meds they all have there good and bad effects as do all meds. There is several groups on Yahoo groups that offer some support to people with ADHD and their families.
One other detail about ADHD is that boys and girls with this learning disorder exhibit some different symptoms. Boys tend to be more hyperactive, while girls tend to be spacey, daydreaming because they get stuck on one thought and hyperfocus on it.
ADHD is Attention Deficit Disorder, Hyperactivity and a slight dysfunction in the brain. ADHD falls into two categories. Inattention type and Hyperactivity-impulsive behavior.
The symptoms of an inattention type is failing to pay close attention to details or makes careless mistakes in schoolwork or other activities, difficulting in concentration while playing or completing tasks, has difficulty following instructions, Avoids or dislikes tasks involving mental effort, Loses required items such as pencils, books,is easily distracted, and can be forgetful at times.
The symptoms for hyper-activity or impulsivity are fidgeting frequently, can not sit still, restlessness, difficulty playing quietly, seems on the go, difficulty waiting for turns, interrupts others.
Most doctors say that ADHD should not be diagnosed unless its symptoms appear early in life and are ongoing.
If a student seems to be showing ADHD symptoms it would be a good idea to send the student to the School Psychologist and let him/her decide if the student is suffering from ADHD or not.
