What causes that deja vue feeling?
does it mean your life is on track - thats what i was told
Answer:
The person who told you that is clearly a believer of 'set paths'. Some people believe we have a set path that we are going to follow in life, and I guess they are explaining deja vu as a way of being told you are following the path you should. Other people believe it's because you have dreamed that before and that it's a 'psychic' thing.
Scientifically it's actually have thought to be a error in the memory and perception.
It's confusing to explain (especially as I don't know the scientific words), but basically, part of your brain percieves the situation, before you are aware you have (we're talking less than a split-second!), and then when your normal perception kicks in and you are in the situation, your brain confuses the earlier perception as a memory, and gives you that feeling that you have experienced this situation before, yet because you haven't, you can't retrieve the memory. In reality, the 'memory' you are trying to retrieve, is the situation you are in.
I hope that made sense! I'm sure there are websites that explain it better but i tried!
it doesn't mean that ure life is on track it means u thought uve saw something before or been somewhere before
I haven't read anything suggesting that it means something about the state of your life, but people have put research into the topic:

The brain is endlessly complicated, and sensory input (smells, sounds, etc) might trigger a memory that's been hidden for a long time.
ive had that too , usually its from dreams
I already answered this question a couple of months ago. Before asking any question please check if I ( or someone lese ) have already given an answer.
thank you.
anyway as far as I know :
a deja vu is , when you are not paying attention for a very short period , fraction of a second. You subconscience will still notice the world, but you are not aware of it int this small second. Next you pay attention again, and then you think you have seen this situation before.. in reality its your subconscience that tells you what you just have seen but wasnt aware of it. that is the deja-vu as far as ik now. i can be wwrong ofcourse
Great question. I had a conversation about this before, that before you are brought into this world, in a spiritual aspect, you are in a setting with your Higher Power. Your HP will give you a selection of lives you wish to live. For example, maybe you want the life in the fast lane, or maybe a average life, or maybe just a no one. Once you choose the life that you wish to live, you will get to see the whole life that you have decided upon. Where the deja vue feeling comes into play is that soul programs your mind, thus remembering a portion from when you were with your HP, thus the deja vue takes places.
Scientifically speaking, they say it is when your brain basically misfires and instead of putting something that is going on in front of you as a new situation, it accidentally triggers your memory function instead.
when you've seen something before and recognise it... that is just recollection... deja vu is actually a term for recognising something which you should not recognise...
what happens is the part of the brain that says "aha!" when it recognises things jumps the gun and "accidently" gives you the "aha!" feeling when you are not supposed to get it... then when you search your memories and find you don't actually have a matching one... that is the feeling of deja vu... technically speaking.
if you want less scientific reasons... you could say it's a "glitch in the matrix"
or like me... when i get that feeling and I search my memory and find it was in a dream... i attribute it to a sort of ESP... :P
