Why am I so afraid of change?

I have all these bad habits and a very unproductive schedule but when I try to change my ways I get nervous and kind of scared to change.

Answer:
Because change takes you out of your comfort zone. It's much easier to just stay on the same unproductive course. It's harder to require more of yourself. Sometimes the fear is a sign that you won't stick to the changes. It might also be a fear that you might stick to the changes and actually succeed. Try not to change everything it once. That never works. List all your bad habits and then change them one at a time. Change the easy things first. You didn't become how you are overnight and you wont change overnight. Give yourself some time to set things in motion. Positive affirmations are a great way to start changing your thinking a little. Write out 10 phrases that start with "I Am" and say them to yourself a couple times a day. I promise that you'll see results almost instantly.

Here's some to start out with.

"I am not afraid of change"
"I am productive"
"I am developing good habits"
"I am always changing for the better"
it's human nature and completely normal. it's because you're going into something that you're not sure of what it's like and you want to stay into something that you already know of and are comfortable with.
everyone is afraid too. just do new things , fight the fear, then you will get better at it.
