Why do I get tired in art museums?
Answer:
You Could Just Be Relaxed Or Dazed!
If You Enjoy Lookin' At Them That Is
If Not...Then Your Probably Just Bored ?! =]
Maybe you don't feel tired, but relaxed.
Because art museums are BORING! All you do is walk around very slowly in a daze. The only thing to do is look at stupid art.
It seems to me that the energy level in museums is low, people walking around slowly and just looking.
coz its boring same problem with me
THe pace in the museum's is very slow and looking at art is a lengthy process you find a peice you like then you look at it and study the works of the artist even though you may not be aware of it you think about what the artist was thinking you are absorbing in what the picture is about what medium's they have used...the colours the history the subject...A wealth of knowledge...this is what i find when I go to an art museum I normally have discussions with friends over various peices of art and why they think it is art.
Two words: Sensory Overload.
You're taking in so many ideas and concepts and visual stimuli that you being to feel numb about art you would probably like if you weren't so exhausted.
Working your brain that hard all at once can bring on fatigue just like anything else-- and in a museum? It's working overtime.
This is why paintings are spread so far apart. It's supposed to let your eyes and mind rest a bit before the next piece. Unfortunately, there's only so much wall to go around, so it doesn't work as well as it should.
If at all possible, try to conquer only one wing of the museum at a time and come back later to take in the next exhibit.
b/c u get bored that happens to me but w/something else
Depends. My feet certainly get tired when I go to galleries and such.
Maybe you are just bored out of your skull.
