I have been reading up on the importance of probiotics ie: the "good" bacteria that is found in some foods such as yogurt. I have also read that some yogurts that are sold contain live cultures, but have not been allowed the time to grow due to being refrigerated too quickly. My question is, can the bacteria still grow more plentiful if I set it out in room temperature? Since the cultures are living, can't they still multipy?
PS... I must be crazy---What are my chances that a nutritionalist, or bacteria chemist, or a yogurt guru is reading this questions right now? If you are, call it serendipity!
