I'm looking for materials on brain damage?
I'm starting a new job working as direct care staff in a house for people with brain damage. I've worked as a special ed teacher and had some experience but I still have minimal knowledge about the field. Do you have any written or on-line materials that you could recommend to me? Thank you very much.
Answer:
here are a couple of excellent soures to start with. but keep in mind the behavioral manifestations of brain damage vary from person to person even when the damage occurs in the same location. furthermore one must consider the comorbidity aspect that typically manifests with brain damaged persons.
anyways here are those references hope they help

Perhaps you could search under neurology. I have an adult student who has brain damage due to an accident. (She seems a bit aphasic) I'm currently struggling to help her, so I'll watch this question in the hope you get some useful answers.
