How can I prevent my nightmares??

I have been married for about 2 and a half years now , and I am very happy in my marriage. But at night I constantly have nightmares about my husband cheating on me, I know it is something he has never done in real life or ever think of doing that is just not his style but for some reason I keep dreaming he is. Last night my nightmares took a step up and my dream had not one but two of my fears in it, of course my husband cheating and then we got bombed by terriorts. I woke up in a cold sweat, and my heart was beating out of my chest, what can I do to stop these nightmares??

Answer:
Stop watching the Lifetime Channel.
What I used to do (when I actually dreamed) was to plan ahead of time what I was going to do in the dream... though it sounds stupid, think about what you are going to do to stop your husband, and what you are going to do to stop the terrorists... I may just be crazy, but try it.
No scary movies/books or anything that scary.

Sleep with a little light on.

Watch/read something funny before bed-time.
think happy happy thoughts before you fall asleep - and tell yourself to have a happy fun dream like flying - i've heard it works!
Talk about the things in your life causing you pain. When you deal with things in your waking life, your mind won't have to deal with it so much in your sleeping like.
You could, before you sleep, either:

a) Think about what you could do to prevent these things from happening (How you could stop your husband from cheating, how you could stop the terrorist bombs, etc.)

b) Read something funny/humorous before you fall asleep. These will usually let you think about happy thoughts.

c) Sleep with a little light on, it actually helps.

d) Do all of the above.
A lot of times people get nightmares from eating too late, maybe thats the problem. Or maybe you are stressing about something to much, just relax.
