If someone has made up their mind to hate you can you ever prove them wrong?

if someone just judges somebody based on lies they hear. Is it solidified in their mind that youre a bad person or could you change their opinion or is it already done with?

Answer:
You CAN change a negative image someone has about you. Always use kindness no matter what. Say Hi when you see them on the street, always making eye contact. Compliment them if they look nice or have done something good you have heard about. Never confront them and try to explain "your side". Eventually, just by your good behavior, they will come to realize that what they have been told must not be true. Good luck.

It saddens me to hear someone is judged by the opinion of others, rather than on their own merits. We need to remember that someday the shoe may be on the other foot.
The only people I don't like are the people who make it obvious that they don't like me.
Not everyones going to love you, it's just a sad fact of life.
And trying to make them like you makes you seem pathetic.
And wishy washy.
Also you probably don't like them either, so..
Yes you can prove them wrong. It's all in the Bible and John Lennon sang it beautifully with "The Beatles".
All you need is love.
depends on who it is and how long it has been since then
you can, but i wouldnt bother to. they can believe what they want to believe. i simply know myself and i dont care for rumours. but if you act like yourself, they will eventually see that you're nothing like the rumours.

there used to be a girl who hated me to the guts for some reason and she spread all lies so people would hate me. it worked. i can feel that everyone hates me, but so what, i know i'm not like that. a while later, some of them began to talk to me, or i talk to them cos of work stuff, and i showed my true self. and they began to wonder why i'm nothing like the rumours. took them over a year for everybody to realize that it was all lies.
A person's opinion is just that, their opinion. It is impossible to say why someone hates anything let alone another person. Sometimes it is as simple as a difference in pheromones.

My suggestion is to simply be yourself and let nature take its course. If the hate dissolves so be it. If not we do not all have to be friends just agree to disagree.
Just be yourself, don't avoid them or pursue their favor. If they hate you because of something they heard, then they have some personal development they need to deal with. Does it really matter what people think of you? Do you ever talk badly about people behind their backs? I have noticed that most people do talk about others behind their backs, sometimes good, sometimes bad, sometimes non-biased. Have you ever heard of the Chinese whisper? It doesn't matter what people say, by the time it goes full circle, much truth has been lost and much libel gained. One thing I have learned; Don't ever tell ANYONE ANYTHING about someone that you don't wish that person to hear. Even people who are good at keeping secrets might tell another person that they assume is good at keeping secrets. Someone might have that occasional slip-of-the tongue, might get drunk and talk too much, might talk in their sleep, write something in a journal, and so on. For what it's worth.
