Has anyone given you a break in Your life? If so, How is it working for you?

Answer:
YES, Years ago, I was hitchhiking and I was out of money and no ride and left out in the middle of nowhere. on a Sunday. One man finally picked me up . He learned I had no money and gave me twenty dollars, that he would have put in his church plate. Now every time I see someone hiking or in need of help I do. many times within my life.
I don't look for breaks, really. I've helped many other people, though.
I had a supervisor who saw more in me than I saw in myself. He essentially forced me into a position that I thought I couldn't handle.

And, I didn't do well for several months. He never wavered in his conviction that I could perform capably at that level.

Eventually, a light came on, and I became efficient and effective, to the point that this experience continues to be my primary claim to excellence in the workplace.

I'll be forever grateful for the opportunity that he gave me, even though I still don't understand why he did it.
Hi,
Two poeple. Firstly a teacher during my last year at school. I was dreadfully shy, rarely drew attention to myself and just got on in the background. She was my shorthand/typing teacher and she must have saw something in me that no-one else did and that I did not even recognise in myself: skill, intelligence, determination, the potential to succeed! She saw me at breaks and lunchtimes, gave me extra work, encouraged and encouraged me. She corrected my speech when I talked 'slang'. She spent hours recording letters etc on a tape at various speeds so I could improve my shorthand speeds. I passed all my typing and shorthand exams with flying colours. But it didn't stop there. She saw a job advertised as a shorthand typist for the local health authority. She wanted me to apply but I didn't have the confidence. She sent me on a message to town and told me to pick an application form up on my way. I got the job. My career has changed a lot since then but the shorthand and typing skills have always come in useful. I shall never forget that teacher. I am so grateful for her support and belief in me. I now see what she saw in me ... Whenever I look back, I still find her insight quite incredible and I don't know where I'd be without her guidance all those years ago. Secondly, a professional person who I suppose 'head hunted' me around 25 years ago. I shan't go into it but he basically steered me into a business I would never have imagined for myself. He saw something in me and sold me a lot bigger than I was at the time. Whenever I thank him now, he tells me that my success is due to my own hard work, dedication and determination. I think without these wonderful people who give us a break, our lives could take such different courses.
