Can someone really lose their sense of humor?

I have noticed that as I age (mid 20's) and on anti-depressants for the last few years I have been losing my sense of humor! I still find a lot of things funny, and am told that I say a lot of funny things, but I find that I do not laugh at a lot of what other people find funny. I actually have to fake laughing when people are giving the obvious signs that they think their joke is funny, or something is funny. I have never had a dry (british) sense of humor before...
Is this normal with age - that we change out humor style, or am I simply loosing my sense of humor? Is that even possible?

Answer:
You may just be a latent comedian. If you find a lot of things funny but do not laugh at them you could be analyzing the content. You see, a comedian must be able to say funny things without laughing at them himself because that will distort the presentation. Ask yourself if you truly enjoy the funny things and if you do, you are not losing your sense of humor. Some people hear a joke and laugh loudly but can never repeat it in as funny a way because they were not paying attention to the words or delivery. If you pay close attention and enjoy the joke you are simply filing it in your mind and may not laugh so quickly.
sure just get married
yes, you lose your sense of humor when you get married to the wrong person..
Yes, you can lose your sense of humour, but then you can also get it back!

Instances when you lose your sense of humour, are when you are in difficult periods of your life, when you see no meaning in things, or when you become cynical.

But these can change and you "get" it back..
When you start to enjoy and see a positive side to life again.

Sense of humour is based on how positively you see things, and it's innate.

p/s there is nothing wrong with not finding some things funny.
you don't have to laugh at everything...
Absolutely...as you get older you have more things to think about and deal with that cause stress. You have to support yourself, maintain friends / significant others, continue your education...etc. All these things stress me out anyway and lately I have been finding that I fake my laughs when I am out with friends too. I gotta believe that you can get it back though as good things happen in your life. That is what I am shooting for anyway!! You may be mildly depressed. That has been my experience when I feel like I lost my sense of humor. Maybe there some other areas in your life that you need to attend to first?
