Is it wrong to dream about a "perfect" person you want in you life..?

I am not involved in a relationship, and i usally fantasize about a "perfect" man. even though i know he is not, if that makes sense. anyways, i am worried if i do fantasize too much about this "character" i will be too focused on what i what expect from the opposite sex and it will not happen, what should i do?

Answer:
It's never wrong to dream, just remember that there is no perfect person out there. A lot of people like to think that they are, but the truth is that everyone has flaws. When searching for that special someone, try not to pick them apart. Look for the qualities that you want in a partner. Many people focus on looks alone, if you can get past that you may find the man of your dreams! Looks are a wonderful thing, but there's so much more to a person than that. =) Good Luck to you!
One can always hope. Without it, there is nothing.
u should find new hobbies to fill out ur day and start thinking about what ur doing and stop thinking about him
I always dream of the perfect man i want in life. And i oftern make him up.But it is perfectly okay to dream, what would we be if we didn't? Dreams keep you going on and on.
Nothing wrong with that everybody does it. Depending on the person's sensitivity and desire almost every moment. This is fine since it gives you standards and means you are not desperate to be with just anyone which makes you even more desirable. Hope that made sense.
wow, this sounds sooo much like me. i have been single for a while now, i have always had a bf, but they have always been the wrong ones. now when i talk to a guy i look for the qualities than i want. but sometimes i think about it and i think maybe i am expecting to much out of him. i dont think its wrong to fantasize about the perfect man, but you know maybe the perfect man isnt out there. so dont kill yourself finding him.
It's perfectly normal to think of the perfect mate in your mid. Thinking about it is one thing. Expecting it is another.

There aren't any perfect people, but, by thinking about your perfect guy, you may start to realize what some of the qualities are that you must have.

Just don't try to hold a real person to the standards of the perfect person in your mind, or no relationship will ever work.
It is ok to dream, but dont let it go to far because then you will start looking for the exact qualities of your "perfect" guy and continously turn down average regualuar guys because of tiny tiny details. Trust me... i have a friend that is going through this right now. It is ok to dream... just dont become to picky.
its not bad. but if you get too wrapped around the idea, then you might find somthing wrong with everyguy [like say you want one with nice ears/nose? and his nose is too big or something] then you might not find the perfect guy but miss out on a good one, just becuase of that 'perfect nose'.
Actually I did this too. I also came up with a list of what I wanted in a partner and was able to find someone "perfect for me". But I was alone for about 4 years before I found him. I think you are on the right track because it will keep you focused on what you want. You are using the power of positive thinking, that we bring what we want into our life.
you just don't need to give you're hopes up because it just might not happen
Nothing wrong with that, unless it detracts from the other things we are supposed to do in life.

God wants us to be totally fulfilled in life, despite popular culture and media messages telling us that that is unrealistic and not possible - they are trying to discourage us, to convince us to settle for drab mediocrity.

.
Remember perfect is only a myth
