Pet Grievance (feeling sick)?
We had to say goodbye yesterday, he couldn’t breath anymore. I am so sad, but ok with it because I know he is in a better place. I also know that we are so lucky that we had each other for so long and we had this friendship. I am sad and fortunate.
My problem is the grievance, I feel stomach sick. I am ok to go about my days, but I must be feeling or suppressing my depression because I feel like vomiting. I tried taking Pepto-Bismol but it doesn’t work and I know it is because it is not a medical thing but it is a feeling thing. Do I just have to cry and let it out? I did cry but maybe not enough. How long does it take?
Answer:
Yes cry. This will work wonders. Don't push away the sadness. Sadness is what makes us human. If you can reach a higher level, almost take comfort in the feeling and enjoy it. Sounds crazy but, knowing you have the ability to grieve makes you a stronger person.
sorry but GET OVER IT
I am THE dog lover of this continent. It takes as long as You take to get a new kitty. So it depends on you. And you will still cry over your old best friend after the kitty, but you will be busy and have someone to learn to love all over again. They can't be your best, they can be your next.
when my dog buddy died 3 years ago due to old age- all in the family cried..of cors me the most bcuz he used to sleep beside me, jogs/ walks along, spoke & treated him like a human, lots of hugs & we have lots of pictures together... infact, until today i haven't taken a new pet/dog since then...bcuz i don't want to lose it again. I miss my buddy but our pictures together keeps me happy of the memories.
Let it go & be happy with the memories.
