Why do i have this fear?

how about making a step to change your perspective on the elephant man? focus on the kind person that he is -- though trapped in the ugly body that he has.
Fears are most often mellowed (is that the right word?) in exactly this way -- changing perspective.
well i guess that guy was pretty scary like freddy cruiger you know. but you shouldnt be afraid, think about how harmless the guy was in the movie kind of like a friendly elephant j/p
fear is normal for all. i have the worst fear of needles. and scary movies nightmares. i know how it feels. we all experience fear. i dont think any fear is stupid. .

Don't feel bad. Fears are just something your brain is kind of shocked of but you can stop yourslef of that fear. It is okay..I mean I have a horrible pathelogical fear of Crest Toothpaste( Don't ask) but only because my friend swallowed her toothpaste, choked, and died. For now on, I don't brush my teeth.THey may be very yellow but It is just a fear...GOOd Luck!!

i think its normal to fear the unknown. you don't really know a lot about those sort of people who are deformed like that. all you see is the way they look and are unsure how to approach it. maybe getting to know the people behind the deformity would help you to understand them better and see that they are just people like everyone else. maybe that would help you not to fear them so much.

i'm afraid of baseball bats. im 15 and that sounds really stupid right? yah well i never really told people about it. but neway its weird cuz i can use the bat or i can watch someone else use it but if someone else swings it too close to me i get really scared and whatnot. my fear of baseball bats is from when i was 2. my sister hit me across the head w a metal baseball bat. and i got epilepsy from it.
my fear probably had nothing to do w this what so ever but hey at least u nno ur not alone
o btw i saw a pic of the elephant man. :O dude that guy is scary.
