Do you ever talk to yourself in your head?

I dont mean talking out loud, but talking to yourself in your head? You know when you hear your voice, but your not actually speaking or moving your lips.

I do it all the time...

Answer:
Same here.
I do it all the time.
Everybody does !
I just assume that everyone does it all the time.
Yep I do it all the time sometimes I even answer myself
Yes so do I . usually to help me work out how I am going to handle a situation.
Uh, yeah, it's called THINKING!
Yeah i do it all the time, my inner monologue is great lol
Almost constantly and sometimes vocally too. You could call it bio-feedback and helps structure my thoughts and re-enforce them in my memory.
You mean like JD from Scrubs? LOL

All the time. Complete conversations. Crazy, isn't it? You can't stop the mind from thinking, so I think it's natural. Just try to not let your lips move when you are in a car driving alone. =)
of course its the most intelligent conversation you can have.
Er, yeah it's called 'thinking'.
Yes a bit too much and drive myself nutz.Aldous Huxley said that people spend the majority of their lives trying not to think!
I dont think anyone can be silent in their brain cos I cant. I always seem to be talking or singing or anything. Its weird. Like right now I am saying what I am typing in my head!
all the time. i have proper conversation in my head as well lol
yea, and it sounds like the voice-over from "the christmas story".
of course. I am the only one i can have an intelligent conversation with.
No but out loud sometimes.
Lots of the time I do, but I had a fight with me about a day ago, and now I'm not speaking to myself..
I think everyone does who speaks language...

Awfully like my question just below yours ;p
everyone does all the time, it's a natural phenomenon
Yeah, sometimes it is to work out a situation and other's if I am nervous I try to role play in my mind the worse case senario and how to resolve that. It helps to make things easier to handle.
i do it all the time, especially when i'm mad at someone, mostly when i'm on the street. sometimes i even make faces, like an ironic face...
Yes all the time I think everyone does!
this is normal internal dialog~~~~~~~it's conscience~~~~~
and it is a good thing~~~~~~~~~~it's like tuning into the holy spirit, just keep it tuned to the right station. your thoughts may become your words your words your actions and then your actions define who you are . so take it slow and listen to that voice. heed the good discard the bad. good luck
yeh literally 24/7. it was a comfort thing when i was a kid and ive never grown out of it
I do it - alot.
And I have arguements with myself too. I shout at myself in my head, no noise. But I hear it. I tell myself stupid things.
I think maybe the only reason I talk to myself is cause no one else listens.
Your not alone!
all the time - sometimes i'm the only one who can put up with myself haha
Everyone does.. this is what prevents most people from being good listeners. If someone says they don't, then they are lying or just completly out of touch with themselves.
Nothing to worry about. I often talk aloud to myself. It can be comforting and helps me to think things thorough. Its when you answer your self back its time to worry!!
Yes that makes two of us
