How do you conquer indifference?
how do you guys beat this feeling?
Answer:
First, think about why you feel it's such a bad thing. Why do you think you need to be doing something (anything) else? Respect who you are. When you don't feel that you HAVE TO do "something," it becomes easier to do what you really want to do.
If you feel like you need to get up and do something, just get up and do it. But don't beat yourself up about it if you don't feel like doing anything.
If you find that you spend a lot of time watching TV without really paying attention, try reading or meditating instead. Reading is a far more active process than TV watching, and will stimulate your brain. Meditating is a better way to "shut down" than having TV images bombard your senses.
I really don't care one way or the other.
I feel slightly ambivalent about that one.
neither here or there, it's not bad really

This is inertia. You don't appear to have motivation. Motivation can move mountains. It is usually produced by NEED. If you don't have any realistic needs and are looked after hand, foot and finger by adults, then it will be hard to identify any real needs. But if you were out there on your own with no job, no food and no prospects, then need would drive your priorities. Before you are out there on your own, don't you think there is very little time left to get those qualifications you need before it is too late? No quallies, no job! SEE?
Based upon your self-description and your question, it sounds like you may be experiencing depression.
If people you know and the things around you define who you are, and you're going to have to leave them, then its conceivable that you would lack of sense of being. If this is true, then you might wish to use the changes to build a sense of self that isn't dependent upon others and the things in your life, but rather what you truly are.
