Smoking is mostly a psychical addiction or physical?

My friend said, it is about 2 months that I have quited smoking, now I have not any physical craving but I am always thinking about
smoke.. ciggaretts..

Answer:
it is both psychological and physical. the addictive nature of nicotine is stronger than that of heroine
both
It is both but it is the psychological addiction that makes it so d*mn hard to quit! What you have to work on now is changing your association of lighting up - i.e. in the ar, on the phone, at a stressful moment)...Whenever you used to light up needs to be replaced with something else. Eventually, you will retrain your mind. Now that the physical symptoms are gone you have to work hard on the rest. Keep at it - It does EVENTUALLY go away and you will find that you dont think about cigs anymore. Really - I promise
Cigarettes do have chemicals that are more physically addictive than other drugs. But the physical withdrawal symptoms are not as bad as heroin for instance. It is more psychological than physical and more habitual than anything. Just practice focusing on something else and you should forget about it. Constantly remind yourself why you quit and do not want to start again.
it's both! if it was not a physical addiction you would not have physical withdraws

but your mind set will help your withdraws regaurdless!
