Question on human response.?
I asked a question at the following link: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
All I was trying to do was gage how people think about certain things. All of the sudden I am accused of being an unethical, Christian hating Satanic! If one would just think about the question being asked instead of trying to interpret who the person is wouldn't the answer come more easily? Bottom line, why are people so keen to jump to conclusions?

Answer:
I read through the answers to your original question. From my perspective, of the seven answers, only one was rude (the one that called you a jerk). And yes, someone said that assisting someone in a suicide was unethical and against the law, but it's kind of a stretch to take that personally. The other five answers, I thought, were respectful and offered an opinion on assisting with a suicide. Perhaps not the kind of answers you were looking for, but hardly derogatory.
Bottom line? If you ask a provocative question, you are likely to get emotional responses. And emotional responses are not always measured or well thought out. Believe me - the responses you got were MILD compared to what you often get.
So, don't stop asking interesting questions. Usually, if you sift through the answers, there are some thoughtful replies.
It is a extreme hotbutton issue with many, as you saw. It evokes instant emotion, as many have been taught about it from an early age.
PPL should respond in a way that is not judgemental. But, at the same time. ITs easy to understand their raw emotions as times. IF would could even consider taking the life of their friend, it is a terrible thing. No matter what pain a person is in, the only one with the right to take a life is God Himself. You cant choose to take a persons life, even your own. someone may do that, but will answer to God for it. It doesnt mean you are evil, tho you are entertaining evil thoughts. The devil wants us to think like this and ok things like this we do and label them as good. and they are not. God says to obey Him and He tells us not to murder. He doesnt say dont murder unless person is in pain. He says not to murder, period. We cant go against that. Sometimes God will allow someone to live longer, as He has things He is trying to teach to that person before they die or someone else in that persons life. WE cant just take their life, and rob them of what God has for them. Yes, we should hear the question and respond without judgment. But forgive the ones that scorn you, as we need to forgive you for even entertaining that evil thought. and yes, when we do this, the answer does come more easily and quickly.
Bottom line.. PPL are quick to jump to conclusions as that is human nature. But, thats not of God. And its wrong too.
Lets all forgive each other, and just continue to ask God what we are to do and not do, It will all become clear if we genuinley go to Him and ask. Ask and we shall receive He says we have not, because we ask not.
I do like the fact that you are encouraging ppl to at least think. Two wrongs dont make a right. They are just as wrong to attack you, as you are to entertain even the thought of such a question. Sin is sin, and its all of the devil. God, let us hear only YOUR voice. amen
ur a smart person rn't u?
u gave me one of the hardest question to think about..
and i was amazed that no one could answer a question on their opinions
