I need to stop being lazy. How do I do this?
Answer:
well. being that your asking this and on the computer i am guessing you are the type that goes on the computer all day, watches a little T.V. and then will go out with the friends occasionally nd the only time you pull apart from the comp are for meals.. am i right? you need to start telling yourself to stop procrastinating and do what you want to or told to do right away. now get off the damn computer and finish your tasks so you can come back when you are done!
get off the couch and put down the remote
turn off the computer
Make a list. Cross the things off as you achieve them. Don't try to do all of it in one day and don't start with the easiest.
Give yourself small goals each day - like today I will do two things. Don't even think about all the other stuff, jsut focus on those two things. The next day, increase it to 3 things. Once you start crossing things off that long list then you will get a rush from the sense of accomplishment which will give you energy to keep on getting more things done.
Shut off the tv and disconnect the internet, turn on the music n get moving
Other than getting of the couch and computer you need direction.
Make a list of everything you need to do, to help put it in perspective, than organize it into times and days and then execute. Give yourself some kind of prize when you get it done. Example on monday when i finish doing all the laundry and dishes I can eat that tub of chunky monkey.
set goals and checkpoints/quotas for yourself to meet...try to develop self discipline
if u meet 1 of the quotas, be happy and use that boost in morale to keep going
im too lazy to write more;)
Morning Walk.
Aside from any possible medical conditions that may zap your energy, you have to have will power. You just have to set your mind to do what needs to be done.
If you have a lot to do you may be looking at the "big picture" doing that will make you feel overwhelmed. Break your tasks down into small easy to handle jobs. When you are finished, step back and give your self a pat on the back for a job well done.
Eventually you will have retrained yourself.
Clear up your mind by going outside to exercise. And just tell yourself, "I can do this."
Get off your ***!
Self discipline. If you're parents, teachers, coaches, etc didn't teach this concept to you then you're on your own and need to figure out how to motivate yourself. Start by just making yourself do things. Most importantly, make sacrifices. It's hard, but once you've developed some self discipline it will carry over into many other aspects of your life. You'll spend & save money better, you'll do better in your career, you've just make better choices in many aspects of your life. Self discipline, personal responsibility, common courtesy and manners are a few of the things you'll want to pass on to your kids some day. If you want kids some day, start making sure you'll know what you're talking about and that you'll be able to provide good example.
