Do you look back at things you've accomplished and wonder, HOW did I do that?!?
I'm a software developer. I often have the opportunity to take on challenging problems and develop elegant solutions to them.
Sometimes I look back at the stuff I've done and wonder just how I did it, and I'm not sure how. It's as if another part of my brain takes over during those creative, analytical periods and powers me through the solution. Perhaps it's the classic right-left brain kind of situation, I'm not sure.
Is it that some part of my consciousness awakes to meet the need, then retreats so that I'm not fully aware of it until the next time I need its faculties?
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Answer:
Yes, I was a woman born and raised in a high poverty and the streets. Got pregnant at 14 and had to drop out of school. Today, I am a mother of three with a husband of 11 years, have my own house, going to college to be a RN and right now working in the nursing home.
Yes! when i was 9 years old, I'm now 15, I made this big plane looking thing out of legos that didn't even require the manual. It was very complicated and has over 300 pieces, I even put in 2 chairs on the inside and a "control" looking device. There's a window looking out, I put 2 of those yellow saucer looking lego pieces on the tips of the wings to look like lights, I have landing gear which came from another lego set I took apart, and a propeller. The wings can also be adjusted up and down because there's a peice that is kind of like a gear that is attached to a piece that is a socket, they are supposed to fit together. It is really cool looking, and I looks like I couldn't accomplish it now. I also built a helicopter years before that, it was really boxy looking, but I broke it. Can't believe I ever did these things.
Yes, and wonder if I could ever do it again!
Being a software developer yourself, I can't imagine what ideas you might need. Be glad you know how to use the faculties of your consciousness for new projects.
