What are the fundamental differences between Western philosophies and Eastern ways of knowing? How does each culture generally view the world and education? How can you incorporate seemingly different ways of knowing into your curriculum? At a very high level of understanding, Eastern philosophy focuses mostly on the higher levels of consciousness and the methods which can be used to realize those levels.

Western philosophy currently focuses more on the concept of flatland, where all people are equal and unique and thus all deserve to be heard, no matter the deviation from the norm.

We need to merge the two philosophies and realize the Great Chain of Being and that levels of consciousness exist. Individuals and cultures are continuing to evolve toward a pure and full spirit, but at different rates and from different levels.
