Is anyone else scared of Mail?

I'd be in the wrong job if a I was scared of mail !! I do know what you mean though, I've been in that situation and have had a few palpitations and beads of sweat on my brow when opening a demanding letter and you know you haven't got what they are asking ! I suppose it's worth remembering what we have got in comparison with others around the world and it can put things in perspective. (Soz, corny I know !)

Yeah, because I'm a cancer patient, I'm always nervous when I get hospital letters.I also hate answering the phone or the door in case it's somebody I don't want to see.
I'm scared of bills in the mail, but that's pretty much it! I know this sounds like an old cliche but maybe something happened in your past to make you afraid of opening mail? Like maybe you had some unexpected bad news? Are you scared of answering the telephone too in case it's someone with bad news?
If this is a serious fear and it is affecting your quality of life, then you should seek help - a doctor is a good place to start and (s)he can refer you to a specialist. Perhaps even a hypnotherapist could help.

Yes, I am. I always think it must be bad news. I am even scared of the sound of the mail carrier delivering the mail. And God help me if he should knock on the door with a certified letter or something.

May be your the type of person that worries a lot. Different people have different natures and personalities. I don't get scared of anything myself.

No its a piece of paper, even if its bad news I think its better to read it rather than be told face to face and then you have time to think about things. If it was really bad news then surely it wouldnt come in the form of a letter.
No one writes to me, all I get is bills. Predictable mail so it is not scary.
I'm affraid of emails. its like a battle. good or bad news. a friend just being hyper, or a friend being suicidal. luckly it always turned to be something good.
but it is creapy to get a mail from who knows who they are with all those stamps on it, but then its just something for insurance.

Yes, but I am a ostrich sort of girl, I know what is in it so I don't open it. I leave them in a pile on the side for days sometimes weeks, only open the safe ones. I open the others at the last possible moment just because it makes me feel better.
I used to dislike the mail intensely. Now I look forward to it - only because I like magazines and packages.
