Why do you think it is unethical to advertise to children?What do you think some of the consequences are?
Answer:
It can be. Advertizers purposly advertise products kids will want with the HOPE that the kids will then whine and bug their parents into buying it. Also, have you ever been in a grocery store and seen kids throwing fits because they want their parents to buy them something? Stores are set up purposly in a way that will ENCOURAGE this, even though it makes everyone's shopping expirience harder. Especially since a Mom can NOT check out without her kid having candy flaunted right in front of his face at the checkout for however long they have to stand there.
I think it is however, I think it is far more exploitative to use and utilize children in advertising.
