Snails are so disgusting to me and I do like animals, but snails gives me shivers. why is it like this?
once a mouse got into my pants and it was nothing, it tickled me. but I cant stand snails to be near me. I know they wont eat me, they look nice actually with that eyes, but I just cant. but I dont kill them or put salt on them. I let them to live.
what could be my problem? cause many people (like my mother) touch the snails.

I think we are hard-wired to flinch from things cold and slimy. The best method of getting rid of the horror is to get a book about them out of the library. Once you know they are hermaphrodite it might spark your interest. Slugs and snails are (both I think), both male & female. Thats is, if two male snails meet, they toss for it, and the one that loses changes into a female. Then they make voluptuous love with lots of gravy. Snails are incredibly elegant I think - I don't want to pick up slugs though.
Oh gosh, snails and especially slugs are just plain awful. I mean I wouldn't hurt them or anything but I agree with you, I would never touch them. But I feel the same way about snakes, lizards, & even frogs so I guess some of us are just like that.
I can touch anything in the world except a hard shelled beetle. They are plain disgusting. It's no different than being repulsed by anything your simply not into. If a beetle flies at me. I run and scream but I can pick up a cricket in my house and put it outside..
